Help support Independent local Media.
Nobody tells Hillingdon Television what they can and cannot cover - NOT: Political parties ,advertisers, shareholders or government. This means we are truly independent with these decisions made by our members. The members here at Hillingdon Television are part of the community and focus on issues that matter to them. We have 2 members clubs that make up our media team, a youth group and an adult group. this means anybody aged 8 and above can get involved.
Members develop new knowledge and life skills through there time as a member.
Independent Media is a crucial part of the foundations that make up a democracy and enable us to live in a 'free society'

With independent media under threat in the UK, your support has never been more important.
Help support diversity in the Media.
A recent report, Diversity and equal opportunities in television by UK regulator Ofcom, revealed the lack of gender diversity in the UK television industry, highlighting that women, ethnic minorities and disabled people are under represented in the television industry and called for urgent action to be taken. Hillingdon Television also feels people from lower income backgrounds are under represented in the media.

We support a solution to this problem by recruiting people from all walks of life and backgrounds. we never discriminate against a person for there race, religion ,sexual orientation, income level or other protected characteristic such as age or disability.

We also focus our programs and videos on these under represented sections of society, meaning we can genuinely create the media service that local people want. Our intention is to improve diversity in Hillingdon and the surrounding areas by exposure though publication of works promoting diversity.
SUPPORT THE LOCAL COMMUNITY
At Hillingdon Television we have noticed that a huge number of Hillingdon Residents had committed themselves to improving life for other local people.
This made us extremely proud of our fellow resident and we run a regular video feature 'Hillingdon Hearts', the program showcases the good deeds and projects that take place locally.
We feel that these videos serve to drive the local economy by increasing positive interest in our borough and the surrounding communities. Our organisation provides FREE media coverage to local charities and charitable groups , serving to increase awareness and raise funds for the most vulnerable people locally.

WE also fund public events in our area providing entertainment to ticket holders and members. This actively promotes social interaction, improving peoples mental health and encourages people to support each other. All profits from our public events are split 50/50 between chosen local charitable organisation(s) and Hillingdon Television. As an organisation Hillingdon Television wants to benefit as many people as possible, this is why our chosen organisation changes per event. The chosen organisation is advertised on each event separately.

We ARE CURRENTLY WORKING TOGETHER WITH GAMERS BEAT CANCER (registered charity no 12805059) WE HAVE DECIDED THAT THEY WILL BE THE RECIPIENT OF OUR CHARITABLE DONATIONS SHARE OF PUBLIC EVENTS FOR 2021.
