MAJOR WEST DRAYTON ROAD CLOSED FOLLOWING A SERIOUS COLLISION



A MALE IN HIS 30s was injured in the incident.





Station road in West Drayton has been closed following a serious crash.

An air ambulance was seen landing near to the scene on Station Road this afternoon (Thursday, August 12).


A number of police and ambulance staff attended the incident. A number of police vehicles can be seen in pictures taken by HillingdonTelevision. A police cordon is in place stretching across the road and no vehicles where allowed to pass the scene, pedestrians however where able to pass using the footpath on either side of the incident.



Evidence of the treatment given to the injured person litters the scene


The air ambulance has now left the scene, a person was transported to hospital however it is not known if they travelled by air or road at this stage.





Witness reports suggest that a person was knocked off a bike during a collision with Ford Focus, although this has not yet been confirmed.



In a statement issued by the police they said


Officers where called to the scene at 12.36 , officers found the injured male. Officers along with the London Ambulance Service and Helicopter Emergency Medical Service attended to the male before he was transported to hospital.


The male is in a critical condition and Officers are awaiting information from medical staff before the decision to reopen the road is made.


The next of kin of the injured party have been informed.
